Each 1-megawatt solar cell device require 15,000 square meters of textured solar glass, 3,000 MW solar cell device require 45,000,000 square meters of photovoltaic glass per year all over the world , and the annual growth rate is 40%, meanwhile, the greater demands to textured solar glass are new type of thin-film solar cells, textured solar glass plate is plated with nano-thin photovoltaic film after plating it with a transparent conductive film ,then become thin film solar cell components.

Because of needless of silicon materials, the cost of thin film solar cell is much less than polysilicon Solar cells, and can be the external glass wall of buildings , which get the purpose for lighting and generating , and the annual growth rate is not less than 80% .As the support of thin-film solar cell, the demands to textured solar glass are up to 100 million sqm each year in the world.

At present, the mainstream of textured solar glass is tempered textured solar glass with the thickness of 3.2mm, in the wavelength range of spectral response of solar cells (320 ~ 1100nm), light transmission rate is up to 91%. For the infrared light that its wavelength is more than 1200nm it has excellent transmittance, and the profies are much higher than ordinary glass , the gross profit margin is up to 50%.
